“It was all so overwhelming.”
I was on a business trip to Denver. My wife came along with me because she had a client there, Cornerstone Books. I was visiting the store and came in from another room to find my wife speaking with the (former) owner of the store and Anthony. My wife introduced me and said that Anthony speaks with dead people.
Now you have to understand that I came from the bayous of Louisiana where there was all kinds of talk when I was growing up about voodoo and ghosts. So when I heard that Anthony speaks to dead people, I was not sure that I wanted to be in on the conversation.
At one point, Anthony looked at me and asked who the large woman was [to me] and said that she had a loud laugh. I said that it was probably my grandmother. He asked me if she liked to wear hats on Sunday to which I said, “yes.” He was saying how proud she was of me. Okay, so I figured that could have been a good guess.
Then Anthony asked me, “Who is Mabel?” I said that it was Annie Mabel (Auntie Mabel). She raised my sister in her home while I was raised with my grandparents. Annie Mabel was the cool aunt. She lived in a nice house, had a really cool job and was fun loving. Anthony said that she thought I lived an exciting life, and that she was proud of me, which I knew she was. Annie Mabel told me, as an adult, “Boy, if you die today, the world will owe you nothing.”
Okay, now I was starting to get a little concerned that he was able to pull out the uncommon name of Mabel.
Immediately after that, Anthony asked me who Charles was in my life. I said that Charles was my stepfather when I was growing up. Anthony told me that Charles wanted to apologize for how he treated me and that it had nothing to do with me. It was due to the alcohol Charles used to numb the pain. This instantly brought tears to my eyes which I had to fight back. Anthony said that Charles acknowledged that he was not very nice and that he knows how his behavior affected me.
Charles scared me as a kid, epecially when he drank. I am really starting to wonder how Anthony could pull out those names, and how he would know how I felt about Charles.
Anthony then said that someone was telling him just to say the words, “I was in prison,” and that I would know who this person was. My uncle Ike spent three years in Angola for a traffic violation. He raised me from my early teens to adulthood. By this time, I din’t not know what was going on.
Then Anthony came straight out and asked me why I never finished school. He said that it was my mother asking the question. This one hit me like a Mack truck. No one other than my mother or my wife knows that I did not finish school. She said that I should finish school. Anthony said that I should make it a point of at least doing this before passing.
Anthony said that she also wanted me to know that she stayed as long as she did with Charles because she felt I needed a father figure.
Anthony then asked if someone close to me had died young. I said it was my younger sister, Margie. Anthony said that she had cancer, to which I said, “yes.” He said that Margie wanted me to tell her kids that she loves them. Anthony told me that Margie forgave the kids for not visiting her and that she wanted me to do the same. She said that the kids were not emotionally capable of visiting her. This subject was a tough one for me because the kids only visited her one time in the 30 days that she was in the hospital. No one, other than my wife, knew that I was angry with my sister’s kids for not visiting her more in the hospital.
Halfway through all of this, Anthony had to stop for a minute. He said the gathering on the other side was like a cocktail party, there were so many people talking. This was so true of my family. When we all got together, every would be talking all at once.
At the end of all of this, I found that I just had to leave because it was all so overwhelming. After we left, as my wife and I were driving away, I kept trying to figure out how Anthony would have been able to “guess” two names correctly, and such details as he did.
After experiencing this event with Anthony, I believe that he does speak with the dead because there is no way he could have made that accurate of a guess on all the people he spoke of.

I just want to add Anthony that what you do to help people in a matter of minutes to heal emotionally with those who have passed would take years of therapy, and yet even then there would still be some unresolved issues. It was life changing for Jim to hear you speak with Charles, his stepfather. Also with Margie, his sister.
You are blessed with a tremendous gift of healing. Continue to use it as such!

Now I’m not one to read books that mediums put out because frankly, I think most of them are fake. But when my cousin said she had purchased the book and read it, I decided that I should take a look at it and see what it was all about. My curiosity got to the best of me. Let’s just say the book opened my eyes. It made me a believer in the afterlife again and in Anthony as a genuine medium. Melissa Pepples
