"Do we really want our loved ones to 'rest in peace?'"

“Do we really want our loved ones to ‘rest in peace?'”

Do we really want them to REST? I know I don’t want my loved ones to rest as I want them to talk to me and tell me things. I am waiting for the day that I can get validating messages from them; at least that is how I feel at this moment!! Nana Sherry
Dear Sherry,
According to the souls, the last thing they are doing is “resting” on the Other Side! As soon as they cross and have gone through their life review, they know they have “work” to do. One thing the souls have repeatedly said, is that part of their journey is to help us stay on track with ours. Now that they’ve seen the answer sheet to all of life’s questions, they want to help us so that we’ll learn what they now know, before it’s our time to leave this life.
In other words, Sherry, your loved ones are talking to you and telling you things! Every day that you wake up, stay true to your purpose, learn a new lesson from the struggle as you move through your grief, you validate the messages you are receiving from them.
The souls are not “resting,” but living in community, doing work that they love, and brings them joy, doing what they need to do to progress on their own spiritual journey; all the while watching over you, inspiring you to stay on yours.
You mentioned wanting “validating messages.” I meet people all of the time who receive signs to the point it hurts them, more than helps. In my book I wrote about one women for whom I did a session, and she wanted to know why she wasn’t receiving any more “signs” from her three children who passed away. They told her it was because she had become dependent on them, and she needed to move on with her life. Of course, that was the last thing she wanted to hear, but when she realized that they were right she started working with other bereaved mothers. The next time she came to me for a session, her children told her that they couldn’t be more pleased.
The souls of our loved ones know what we want. More importantly, they know what we need. Our task is to trust that they know what they’re doing and that we’ll receive signs from our loved ones when we need them the most.

Now I’m not one to read books that mediums put out because frankly, I think most of them are fake. But when my cousin said she had purchased the book and read it, I decided that I should take a look at it and see what it was all about. My curiosity got to the best of me. Let’s just say the book opened my eyes. It made me a believer in the afterlife again and in Anthony as a genuine medium. Melissa Pepples
